Position Title: Country Head of Sales – Medical Equipment

Job Summary:

The Country Head of Sales for Medical Equipment is responsible for driving the overall sales strategy, leading the sales team, and expanding the market presence across the country. This role involves overseeing the sales operations, managing key accounts, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets while maintaining a strong customer focus. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the medical equipment industry and a proven track record of sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership:
    • Develop and implement the country-wide sales strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
    • Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscape to maximize sales potential.
    • Set and monitor sales targets for the team, ensuring consistent achievement and growth.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage the national sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team goals.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team.
    • Foster a positive and results-driven work environment, encouraging collaboration and innovation.
  • Market Expansion and Customer Acquisition:
    • Drive the expansion of the company’s market presence by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
    • Negotiate and close high-value deals, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Sales Operations and Reporting:
    • Oversee sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation.
    • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to the Regional Director/CEO.
    • Implement sales processes and tools to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing customer needs and resolving issues promptly.
    • Collaborate with the customer service and technical support teams to provide seamless after-sales support.
    • Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve products and services.
  • Compliance and Ethics:
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies in all sales activities.
    • Promote ethical sales practices and maintain the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership role within the medical equipment or healthcare industry.
    • Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing large, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Deep understanding of the medical equipment market and regulatory environment.
    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in sales tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions:

  • Travel Requirements: Frequent travel across the country is required to manage sales operations and meet with key clients.
  • Work Environment: Office-based with regular visits to customer sites, hospitals, and industry events.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Salary: UP To 15 Lakh PA
